Second Blessings Thrift Shop Extended Hours
The Renaissance Family Center now has extended hours 9005 Wilverne Drive, Windham. Monday-Friday 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday 9 am – 5 pm. Second Blessings hours are Monday-Friday 10am – 4 pm. We have a great selection of gently used furniture, antiques, vintage dishes and many clean, gently used household items. Every week we have a different category of items at 50% off. We still have the “fill a shopping cart” from our over flows rooms $20.00. We have many new items in our Second Blessings Thrift Shoppe so start your Christmas shopping early!

Time for Tots
2nd Weds of Month
Time for Tots held the 2nd Wednesday of each month (Sept 14, 2022 – May 10, 2023) from 10 – 11 a.m. at Maplewood Christian Church 7300 State Route 88 in Ravenna. Come experience a safe indoor environment where children ages 2 – 5 can play, craft, enjoy music and burn energy (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome). We will not meet if Ravenna Schools are closed. Call 330-297-6424 with questions.

Parkman 55+ Seniors
First Thursday of Month
Please join area seniors over 55 for a monthly gathering on the first Thursday at the Parkman Community Center at 11:30 am. With the exception of an occasional field trip, the gathering includes a pot luck lunch and socializing and various programs such as entertainment, informational lectures and Bingo. Who wants to cook on Friday nights – no one! On the 2nd Friday of November (11th) and December (9th), stop by the Mantua Center School Annex between 3pm and 6pm, for a carry-out or dine-in, home-cooked meal. The November meal provides hearty soups and salads, rolls and desserts. All for donation to The Mantua Restoration Society. View various “Center” items for sale such as T-shirts, note cards, and matted drawings of our Historic Buildings. The Annex is located at 11751 Mantua Center Road.

Shalersville Historical Society Calendars
If you’re ready to begin your holiday shopping, Shalersville Historical Society can help with that. Our 2023 calendars featuring Early Shalersville Businesses will be available for you to purchase at our next regular meeting, Thursday November 3, at 7 PM at the society’s museum located at 9154 St Rt 44 in the center of Shalersville. These are available for a donation of $15.00. They also can be mailed to you. If you are unable to come November 3, call either Judy Richardson – 330..389.0598 or Judy Thornton – 330.527.7669 to make arrangements for delivery or for you to pick up.

Portage Faith Church Holds Annual Bazaar

The ladies at Portage Faith United Methodist Church at 9922 State Route 44, Mantua, are pleased to invite you to their Annual Bazaar & Country Store on Saturday, Nov 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition to a selection of fresh homemade soups, please come check out our crafts, jewelry, wood products, baked and canned goods, and so much more. Admission is FREE. Donuts and a light lunch will also be available.

St. Anselm Christmas Boutique

St. Anselm Christmas Boutique will be held on Nov. 5, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; St. Anselm School, 13013 Chillicothe Rd. (Rt. 306, just south of Rt. 322), Chesterland. There will be over 70 vendors with all kinds of great items to choose from. There will also be a snack bar, bake sale and prize raffle with many great prizes. Admission is $1. Shalersville Historical Society Open House

This Sunday November 6, Shalersville Historical Society will hold its monthly open house from 2 – 5 PM at the museum located at 9154 St Rt 44 near the center of Shalersville. Come visit with our curator Judy Richardson & share your memories of growing up here. MaRSI Meeting

The next Mantua Restoration Society, Inc. (MaRSi), meeting will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Mantua Township Town Hall 4122 State Route 82 Mantua, Ohio 44255 at 7pm. MaRSI seeks to develop funding to preserve historic buildings and sites for them to be vibrant, integral parts of township government and civic life. Middlefield Chamber of Commerce Meeting

Annual Turkey Dinner

On Tuesday, November 8th, get out and vote and then head to Parkman Congregational Church (18265 Madison Road -1/4 mile north of St. Rt. 422 in Parkman) for a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. We will be serving turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, green beans, slaw, cranberry sauce, rolls, beverages and pie for dessert. (drive-thru carry-out) Dinners are $15.00 per person. Prepared and served by the Women’s Fellowship of Parkman Congregational Church. We look forward to seeing you on Election Day!

The 2022 Mantua Knights of Columbus Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The reservation line will open on November 1st.
