Beauty and Wellness at Natural Radiance Studio

5035

Garrettsville – Natural Radiance Studio is much more than a full-service hair salon for the whole family. It’s a holistic wellness center that uses nontoxic hair and skin products, offers therapeutic massage, and extends an array of customized health & wellness coaching services.

Justine Egrek, a graduate of Crestwood High School and the Paul Mitchell school of cosmetology, had worked for several other salons and most recently as an independent contractor before opening this studio at 8098 Main Street (next to Subway restaurant) in mid-November. Natural Radiance gives her the opportunity to offer a calming, restful environment where each individual’s natural beauty is unveiled without harsh chemicals or forced looks dictated by passing trends.

“While I enjoy vibrant shades of purple in my hair once in a while, and I can work with hair extensions and hair pieces, I focus more on offering an enduring cut and color that will enhance my customers’ natural beauty,” she says. “My goal is to make people feel as beautiful as they can without deviating too far from what they bring to the table. European women are often considered most beautiful because, instead of following ever-changing trends, they stick with a classic cut and style that works for them.”

Health and wellness are of equal importance to beauty at Natural Radiance. Since standard beauty products contain known carcinogens and other toxins, Egrek chooses to lighten your toxic load and steer clear of these harsh chemicals. She uses sustainable, vegan, natural products that contain no formaldehyde, paraben or sulfates.

Rounding out Egrek’s hair and skin care services are licensed massage therapist Janice Wenig LMT and Integrative Health Coach Angela Shafer of Habitual Health.
Wenig specializes in neuromuscular therapy as well as sports and Swedish massage techniques. She is also a certified medical exercise specialist who can provide holistic, integrated physical therapy. Clients can schedule in-salon appointments by calling (216) 403-3566. Wenig will also be offering yoga and group fitness sessions at the studio.

As a health coach, Shafer is certified in guided meditation and in helping clients through customized six-month programs to help them achieve their personal health goals. She provides professional recommendations, support, accountability and guidance for those who want to run a half-marathon, strengthen their immune system, go vegan, meditate daily, or meet other self-care goals. To learn more about Habitual Health, call or text Shafer at (440) 313-2154.

Starting on Saturday, April 4, Shafer will lead a group on an hour-long walk from the studio to the Portage Parks trail, starting at 8am. It is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels (no fee).

Egrek, who lives in Mantua, is “really thrilled to be in this great community, and to be a part of its growth. Response has been awesome — better than expected — so word of mouth and walk-ins have been keeping me very busy.”

At Natural Radiance Studio, Egrek says that beauty is enhanced by the benefits of overall health and wellness. Call Egrek at (330) 968-8082 to schedule a hair appointment. Otherwise, the salon is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for walk-ins, and on Fridays and Saturdays only by appointment.
