century-village-logoBurton – Geauga County Historical Society’s Century Village Museum is inviting the community for an evening of music and socializing at its second-annual Wine Tasting, 2pm-7pm, April 26.

The Wine Tasting, featuring wines from six wineries from throughout the region, is part of a continuing series of events aimed at bringing the community together on the picturesque grounds of Century Village Museum, one of the county’s most beloved treasures, said Historical Society Board President Bill Jackson.

He said gatherings like the Wine Tasting and next month’s Rib Burn Off are in the spirit of community-building inspired by the positive response to Ohio Chautauqua, which Century Village Museum hosted in the summer of 2012.

“It is part of Geauga County’s heritage to get together and socialize with neighbors on our village greens and town squares,” Jackson said. “We hope to revive that tradition with events like these.

“Century Village belongs to all of Geauga County,” he added. “No matter where you live in the county, this is your gathering place.”

For tickets, call 440-834-1492. Cheese platters and tickets for additional tastings will be available at the event. Guests 21 and older, please.
