Joseph Andrew Metz, lovingly known as Joe, passed away October 19, 2026, at the age of 76.
Joe had a true love for driving semi trucks and enjoyed spending time on the open road. Trucking was a big part of his life, and in his later years, he continued doing what he loved by hauling Amish. His passion for driving stayed with him throughout the years and was an important part of who he was.
Joe proudly served in the United States Army and will be remembered for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind with those who knew him.
Joe is survived by his oldest sister, Barbara West; along with many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Andy” Metz and Evelyn Metz; his sisters Beverly, Janet, and Peggy; and his brothers James “Jimmy” Metz and Clarence Metz.
Joe will be remembered by those who knew him and missed by the family who loved him. Though his journey here has come to an end, the memories of Joe and his love for the open road will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Rest easy, Joe. May the road ahead be peaceful, and may you always be remembered with love.
