As the seasons progress and hours of daylight lessen, it’s the perfect time to get outside, get in some movement, play some games and enjoy time with friends. And you can do all those things with your friends at the Crestwood Community Center in Mantua.
On Wednesday October 28th, there will be two opportunities to celebrate Halloween. First, start at the Crestwood Community Center’s SAIL exercise class from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Then, from noon until 4 pm, join in the fun at the CCC Halloween party. Lunch will be provided by Rebecca Moore from Boulder Crossing; they’ll have games and candy making, and costumes are encouraged. But the fun doesn’t end there!
That evening, from 4:30- 7:30 PM, the Halloween festivities continue at Northeast Ohio Medical University (4209 ST RT 44, Rootstown). Party-goers will enjoy music, dinner, and a costume contest and have the opportunity to interact with medical students. If you plan to attend this event, please RSVP to Marge Sanders (330) 325-6360 to secure your spot.
As we move solidly into the ‘Ber months, you’re invited to attend the Crestwood Community Center general meeting on Wednesday, November 11th at 11:30 am. Join the group to reflect on 2026 and help plan for the coming year. The following Wednesday, November 18th, come celebrate Friendsgiving. Turkey will be provided by Rebecca Moore from Boulder Crossing, attendees will provide their favorite side dishes and desserts to share. A sign-up sheet will be available at CCC.
In this season of counting blessings, the CCC will be collecting personal care items, including shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and deodorant for a local Women’s Shelter. This collection is in conjunction with students at the Crestwood High School, and will help women in crisis in the community. Please bring in your items on or before December 2nd.
Lastly, the Crestwood Community Center regrets announcing the retirement of Rosemary Krupar as CCC Director. But this opening provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in helping to continue the success of this thriving local resource.
