Scott Crites, 64, of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, September 20, 2026. He was born in Ravenna, Ohio, to Glenn and Sally Crites.
Scott was a 1980 graduate of James A. Garfield High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, farming, and having a cold beer in the garage at the end of the day. He worked as a mechanic for many local companies, but above all else, he was a farmer.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta (Trent) Crites; Darla Crites, the love of his life; and his father, Glenn Crites.
Scott’s memory will be carried on in the hearts of his children, Joseph (Sarah) Crites and Lisa (Todd) Saylor; his grandchildren, Payton, Haley, Jayden, Brooklynn, Christopher, Emily, Dylan, Anthony (Lindsay), Mercedes (Michael), and Austin; his great-granddaughters, Addison, Autumn, Rylee, and Holly; his mother, Sara “Sally” Crites; and his siblings, Randy (Beverly) Crites, Kathy Cox, Mark Crites, and Kelly (Steve) Hunter.
Scott will be remembered for his sense of humor and the genuine care he showed to everyone he knew.
