Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing MS for years, this group provides a safe space for conversation, resources, and community. First Congregational Church UCC in Rootstown is having our first monthly fund-raiser dinner of the season on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm. Sit down dinners are being served, as well as carry-out and drive-thru. Dinners are $15.00 and this month includes Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, cole slaw, applesauce, green beans, corn casserole, dinner roll and dessert. League of Women Voters presents “Understand Your Vote” at Aurora Library

The League of Women Voters of Northern Portage County will present Understand Your Vote on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Aurora Public Library, 115 E. Pioneer Trail, Aurora. This event is free and open to the public. The presentation will cover key dates for the upcoming election, reliable information sources for researching candidates and issues, and how to make your own personalized voting plan. There will also be a review of pros and cons of Statewide Issue 3. Attendees can check their voter registration before the Monday, October 5 deadline. Remember that early voting begins on Tuesday, October 6 and Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Set realistic goals for staying active, learn how to stay safe at home, complete exercises to increase strength and balance, and learn how to identify and control your fear of falling.
