The Portage County Amateur Radio Service will hold its first annual Trunkfest on July 11th from 9:00AM to 1:00PM at their club site located at 705 Oakwood St. in Ravenna.
The event allows amateur radio operators to buy, sell, or trade amateur radio equipment. Tours of the clubsite are available and any individual interested in amateur radio is encouraged to attend and learn about the hobby and club. More information is available at https://www.portcars.org.
PCARS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Amateur Radio club founded in 2005. As an ARRL affiliated club, our mission is to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency for the betterment of Amateur Radio. To help prepare our club members should the need arise, to assist the community with emergency communications using Amateur Radio. In addition to our Amateur Radio goals, the club holds an annual fund raiser for The Center of Hope in Ravenna.
