The Farmer's Market season began in Newton Falls on June 23

Fresh produce, homemade baked goods, local honey, handcrafted foods, and a renewed sense of community took center stage as the Newton Falls Farmers Market officially opened its inaugural season on Tuesday, June 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Four Corners Park in Historic Downtown Newton Falls, located at the intersection of Center Street and Broad Street.

Operated entirely by volunteers, the market was created with a simple mission: to connect residents directly with local farmers and producers while supporting small businesses, strengthening the local economy, and creating a gathering place for the community.

The market will feature more than 20 local vendors offering farm-fresh produce, baked goods, honey, jams, flowers, and other locally produced goods, with additional vendors and activities expected throughout the season.

The market will continue every Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the harvest season, giving residents and visitors a weekly opportunity to shop local while enjoying one of the area’s most charming downtown districts.

“This market is about much more than buying vegetables,” organizers said. “It’s about neighbors supporting neighbors, teaching children where food comes from, and creating a place where our community can gather each week.”

Families are encouraged to attend, meet local farmers, and experience the growing movement to support local agriculture and small businesses.

Visitors are also encouraged to make an evening of it by exploring Historic Downtown Newton Falls, where many locally owned businesses will be extending their hours during market evenings. The walkable downtown offers unique shops, restaurants, and services, making the Farmers Market an opportunity to support the entire local business community while enjoying an evening out with family and friends.

“Our hope is that people come for the fresh produce and local foods, then stay to experience everything Historic Downtown Newton Falls has to offer,” organizers said. “When our farmers, small businesses, and community all thrive together, everyone wins.”

The Newton Falls Farmers Market is free to attend.

Residents are encouraged to follow the market’s social media pages for weekly vendor spotlights, seasonal offerings, special events, and market updates throughout the summer.
