United Way of Portage County is inviting community members to take part in its fifth semi-annual Community Partner Bus Tour on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The free tour offers participants a firsthand look at some of the most pressing needs facing Portage County residents and the local organizations working every day to address them. Open to anyone in the community, the tour is designed to increase awareness of local challenges while highlighting the impact of United Way partner programs and services.
The bus will depart from United Way of Portage County, located at 999 E. Main Street in Ravenna, and will make stops at several partner agencies and programs, including:
• The Free Clinic at NEOMED
• King Kennedy Community Center
• Senior Corps Programs at Axess Family Services
• Safer Futures
• Junior Achievement at the United Way office
Throughout the tour, participants will hear directly from community leaders and nonprofit professionals about the services they provide, the individuals and families they serve, and the ongoing needs within Portage County.
“This tour gives people an opportunity to see the real impact of community partnerships in action,” said Maureen Gebhardt, Director of Community Impact at United Way of Portage County. “We hope participants leave with a deeper understanding of the challenges many of our neighbors face and the important work being done to create solutions.”
