Harold C. Gepper, 97, of Garrettsville, OH, went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born in Braceville Twp., OH on September 2, 1928, to the late Carl and Mildred (Bloomer) Gepper.
He grew up in the Garrettsville area and graduated from Garrettsville High School, belonging to the class of 1947. Harold met his wife, Helen (Cooper), and they married in 1950 and started their family. He attended and received a degree from Bohecker’s Business College in 1952. Harold worked for the Ford Motor Company for 33 years as a Production Control Analyst. He went on to become a partner in the Garrettsville Auto Parts and Middlefield Auto Parts Corporations until 1990. He sold the businesses and settled into retirement. Harold was a member of the Garrettsville United Methodist Church and continued his love of God throughout his whole life. He enjoyed yard work and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harold will be deeply missed by his children, Donald (Linda) Gepper, Debbie (Mark) Porter, and Margaret “Maggie” Freed; grandchildren, Matt, Jeff, Sandra, Rebecca, Sarah, and Nikki; great grandchildren, Louis, Reese, Nathan, Cana, Sam, Hunter, Parker, James, Zoe, Miles, and Penny, as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Gepper; sisters, Lillian Gepper and Arlene Garvin, brother, Lester Gepper.
Please join the family for a visitation Friday, April 10, 2026, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., with Dr. Michael E. Carlson officiating. Harold will have a private burial where he will be lovingly laid to rest beside Helen.
