The Portage Foundation is pleased to announce the next installment of their Community Speaker Series with a program titled Rules of the Road for Smart Investing, designed specifically for adults who are seeking clear, practical guidance for managing their finances with confidence.
Certified Financial Planner™ professional Laura Radcliff will share straightforward strategies to help participants reach their financial goals while avoiding common investing mistakes. The free presentation will take place on Wednesday, February 4, at 10:00 a.m. in the Kent Free Library’s second-floor meeting room.
“Our goal is to offer educational opportunities that are welcoming, relevant, and empowering to our community,” said Heidi Johnson, Community Engagement Manager at the Portage Foundation.
Janice Simmons-Mortimer, Executive Director of the Portage Foundation, added, “We believe access to reliable financial education is an important part of building long-term stability and peace of mind. Through our Community Speaker Series, we are proud to bring knowledgeable speakers and meaningful topics directly to Portage County residents.”
In addition to the presentation, attendees are encouraged to bring donations of shelf-stable food items, which will be collected to support local food pantries and assist neighbors in need throughout Portage County.
The Portage Foundation’s Community Speaker Series connects residents with knowledgeable speakers and timely topics that support lifelong learning, financial stability, and community well-being.
