Having a wealth of available talent, the Twentieth Century Club of Garrettsville called upon two current members for programs on October 2 and. October 16.

Connie Crate, assisted by Marlene Szabaga, was the hostess for the meeting on October 2, which featured a presentation on Fiber Arts by Lucy Wyme/.

This talented individual showcased her interests in the varied aspects of fibers, fabrics, weaving, even the homebody approaches of crochet, knitting, being a seamstress. Members were treated to a travelogue of her journey through her growing interests and insights. Challenging and most enjoyable.

October 16 saw a meeting at the Covenant Bible Fellowship, hosted by Karen Miller, assisted by Pat Amor. Day trips were the subject of the program by Iva Walker and included a considerable amount of “audience participation” as members chimed in with favorite excursions of their own during roll call and during the conversations afterward. Some “days” were longer than others and some destinations were WAY off the beaten path ( Famous Endings Museum, Cleveland-style Polka Hall of Fame and Museum, etc.)

Next meeting will be on November 6. Christmas meeting will feature donations of socks and underwear for kids. The Talent Show will be on February 19. Practice, practice, practice
