Axess Family Services is proud to announce it has achieved national accreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA), a service of Social Current. This milestone affirms the agency’s unwavering commitment to high-quality, person-centered care for individuals and families across Northeast Ohio.
COA accreditation is widely recognized as a rigorous and comprehensive process that evaluates all aspects of an organization’s operations, programs, and services. This designation signifies that Axess Family Services meets or exceeds best practice standards and has the structure, policies, and procedures in place to deliver consistently excellent services.
“Achieving COA accreditation is a powerful endorsement of the incredible work our team is doing every day to support our community” said Mark Frisone, Executive Director of Axess Family Services. “It demonstrates our accountability, integrity, and long-term dedication to improving lives.”
The announcement comes on the heels of a successful merger between Family & Community Services and AxessPointe Community Health Centers—uniting to form Axess Family Services, a single, comprehensive agency delivering integrated health and human services to the region’s most vulnerable populations.
As part of its accreditation process, COA reviewers assessed Axess Family Services’ adherence to ethical standards, staff training and supervision, client safety, service delivery, risk prevention, and performance improvement. Accreditation strengthens the agency’s position for new funding, contracts, and partnerships—ensuring long-term impact and sustainability.
Axess Family Services provides a wide array of services including primary care, behavioral health, housing and homelessness services, domestic violence support, veterans services, food security programs, and more. The agency has been a cornerstone of the region’s safety net, helping individuals and families overcome barriers and thrive.
