Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Mondays

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Lunches are served T-TH from 11a-1p only $5-plate includes homemade soup or salad, entrée, dessert and beverage. Menu for the week is posted on Facebook, or just call 330-889-2733.

Young At Heart Meetings

3rd Tues of Month

Young at Heart  organization for 55 and older, meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall.  We gather for meals, meeting and fellowship.  All denominations are welcome.  To attend or for more information call Jackie 330-569-4048.

BINGO! At St. Ambrose

First & Third Tuesday

Al Anon Meetings

What can you do when someone close to you drinks too much? Al Anon may be able to help. We meet Tuesdays 7:30 -8:30 pm at the Renaissance Center 9005 Wilverne in Windham or Wednesday 7-8 pm at Hilltop Christian Church, 4572 Prospect in Mantua. Meetings are completely confidential.

Every Wednesday from 10:30-4:00 Drop by and visit!  Weekly activities include guided nature walks, card games, bingo, Dominoes, puzzles, and book swaps.  Meet us at Mantua Lodge, Buchert Park, 4810 E. Christ Lutheran Church 10827 Main St, Mantua will be offering their  Free Community Meal on on the third Wednesday of the month  from 5-6:30 pm. Please come and enjoy a wonderful meal and a  chance to visit with friends. For more info call the church at 330 274 2849.

Loaves and Fishes Community Meal  

Last Thursday of Month

A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township. We hope to see you there for good food and conversation.

Mantua Variety Market

Saturdays through Aug 23

Christ Lutheran Church is sponsoring the Mantua Variety Market on Saturdays from 9am – 1pm at 10827 N Main St., Mantua. Season runs from May 17 – August 23 (closed July 5). A wide selection of items can be sold – bakery, produce, crafts, plants, syrup, eggs, honey, garage sale items, etc. Vendors are needed. Fee is $1 per date. Grief Support Group Meeting

Do you have a hobby or collection you would like to share? Come into the Aurora Library on Friday, June 20 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm & tell us about it! Don’t have one? Apologies, but live animals are not permitted. Come prepared to spend 5-10 minutes sharing your collections or hobbies with the other participants and then stick around to hear about theirs.

Help Keep The Trails Clean

Help us keep our trails clean! Join the Garrettsville Library and Portage Parks District on Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 – 2:00 pm to help clean up our beloved Headwaters trail. Lunch is provided! Limited to 40 participants. Register here: https://events.portagelibrary.org/event/13515793. Please meet up in the library at 10am, for instructions and gear. We will all walk down to the trail together to get started! Volunteers will walk the trail and clean up trash we find along the way! All volunteers will take a lunch break together to eat and hang out around noon. Lunch is provided. Stop by the library to sign up ahead of time. This event is intended for Teen & Adult Volunteers.

JA Garfield Historical Society Open

James A. Garfield Historical Society will be open during Summer Fest.  Watch for the “OPEN” flag by the door on Main St.  Come, reminisce and see the collection of our local history.

Portage Faith UMC Vacation Bible School
