The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Children ages 2-5 (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome) are invited to Time for Tots on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Our goal is to provide a safe indoor environment for young children to play, craft, enjoy music & burn energy. A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township. Parkman Chamber of Commerce will continue the tradition of Pancake Breakfasts in March. On March 16th, 23rd, and 30th they will be serving up their infamous pancakes and special recipe sausage patties from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Parkman Community House (16295 Main Market / U.S.Rt. 422).

Roast Pork & Sauerkraut Dinner

First Congregational Church UCC in Rootstown is having our monthly fund-raiser dinner on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm. Sit down dinners are being served again, as well as carry-out and drive thru. Dinners are $15.00 and this month includes roast pork, sauerkraut (cooked separately), mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, cole slaw, applesauce, green beans, corn, roll and dessert. The church is located at 4022 St Rt 44 in Rootstown Center.

James A. Garfield Historical Society will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday, March 17 at 7 p.m. Members will be sharing some good Irish food and Tim Smith will be giving history on the building when it was Garrettsville Paint & Glass.
God Provides A Meal

Windham UMC is having their monthly free God Provides meal on March 28, 2025. The menu: chili with the trimmings. The meal is served drive thru only. Pick up times are 4 pm to 5 pm. If you are interested, you must reserve a meal ahead by Wednesday, March 26th. This way we know how many meals we need. If you are interested, please call Mary Masters at 330-245-6889 to reserve your meals. We will ask no financial questions. EGG FEST 2025!

On Saturday, April 12th at 11 am, The Fountain Church located at 12888 State Route 88, will be holding their annual EGG FEST! The event is completely FREE and all done inside! The event resembles a “Trunk or Truck” style event. Come and walk through different table stations decorated with different themes loaded to give out candy to each child! Upon arriving….each child we be given their own Easter tote bag already filled with lots of candy and toy surprises- and they will add to the goodies as they walk through the event and receive even MORE treats.
