Hiram College to host 2025 Lecture in Religion: Embodied Sanctuary

76

Hiram College announces its 2025 Lectures in Religion Series, featuring C. Stonebraker-Martinez ‘10. The lecture will be held on March 6, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Koritansky Hall on Hiram College’s campus, with doors opening for a reception at 5 p.m.

This year, Hiram is pleased to welcome C Stonebraker-Martinez ‘10, the co-director of InterReligious Task Force on Central America and Colombia (IRTF). IRTF is a grassroots human rights organization that uses popular education, mutual aid and direct action to transform consumer behaviors and corporate and government policies for our collective liberation. C will be presenting a keynote, “Embodied Sanctuary,” exploring the work of religious communities (past and present) serving and protecting immigrants, and the interconnections of justice and freedom in that work.

The Lectures in Religion series is an annual program bringing scholars, clergy members, and faith leaders to Hiram College’s campus to share the wisdom and grace of their tradition and practice with the community.

This event is free and open to the public. The event will be hosted at the Kennedy Center on Hiram College’s campus, 11715 Garfield Rd, Hiram, OH 44234.
