The Newton Falls community continues to support its weekend supplemental food program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, with recent contributions from local organizations, businesses, and individuals. Special thanks go to Newton Falls First Church of God, Newton Falls Kiwanis Club, Elsie Whetzel Fowler, Newton Falls Classroom Teachers Association, and several others for their donations of food, school supplies, and books. Additional contributions came from Westfall’s Restaurant, Church Mouse, Ohio Tax Lady, and various veterans’ organizations, ensuring the program’s ongoing success.
Newton Falls Athletic Director Chad Rankin coordinated student volunteers to assist in packing food bags. Helping with the effort were members of the volleyball team, cheerleading squad, cross country and track teams, band, and boys’ basketball team, along with their coaches and directors. Their dedication and teamwork continue to make a meaningful impact on local students in need.
