Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township. The Mantua Restoration Society (MaRSI) is holding their 2nd Friday Night Dinner, from 4 -7pm, on Friday, November 8, 2024. This month’s dinner features tasty entrees, hot soups, an array of salads, and yummy desserts. The Mantua Restoration Society is not permitted to charge a set amount and cannot mention what similar food might cost in a restaurant. Donations are graciously accepted. Dine in or carryout is available. The dinner is held at the Mantua Center School Annex located at 11741 Mantua Center Road, Mantua Township. Come join us!

St Anselm Christmas Boutique

St. Anselm Christmas Boutique: Saturday, November 9, 9:00 to 4:00 at St. Anselm School, 13013 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland (Rt. 306, 1/2 mile south of Rt. 322). Admission is $1.00. There will be over 70 craft vendors from the area. There will also be a bake sale, a snack bar, and a prize raffle with many great prizes including Browns tickets. Join the Boutique Bounce by also stopping at Old South Church, 9802 Chillicothe Rd. in Kirtland and St. Mark Lutheran Church at 11900 Chillicothe Rd. in Chesterland on the same day. Freedom Township Historical Society
At our Tuesday November 12 meeting Freedom Township Historical Society will share a video interview with 95 year old Freedom resident Bob Bossow, a 1946 Freedom High School graduate. While in high school Bob developed a lifelong interest in all things mechanical. He later became a pilot and successful businessman and developer. Meet Bob, his sister Dolores Bossow Reed and her daughter who have shared their family’s history of living in Freedom in the 1900’s. This meeting, held at our Drakesburg School at 7276 St Rt 303, will begin at 7 PM. Our meetings are free and open to the public; light refreshments will be provided. Questions? Pork & Sauerkraut Dinner

First Congregational Church UCC in Rootstown is having our monthly fund-raiser dinner on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm. We will begin serving sit down dinners again, as well as carry-out and drive thru. Dinners are $15.00 and this month include roast port and sauerkraut (cooked separately), mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, cole slaw, applesauce, green beans, corn, roll and cake. The church is located at 4022 St Rt 44 in Rootstown Center.
Windham UMC God Provides A Meal

Windham UMC will be having their monthly free meal on November 22. Meals can be picked up between 4 pm to 5 pm. The menu will be turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. You must reserve your meal ahead of time.
