Sarah Alice Davis, 75, of Ravenna, OH, formerly of Garrettsville, OH, went home to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 11, 2024. She was born June 16, 1949, in Ravenna, OH, to the late Harry and Alice (nee Callahan) Vincent.

She was raised in Garrettsville, graduating in 1967 from James A. Garfield High School, then became a registered nurse after completing nursing training at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing School in Youngstown, OH. Sarah worked at Robinson Memorial Hospital in the OB and Surgery Departments from 1970 to 2002. Following retirement, Sarah worked at Akron City Hospital as PRN for another 10 years.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Ambrose and Immaculate Conception Catholic Churches. Sarah cherished time with her family and her many friends. She also enjoyed traveling and watching the birds. Sarah spent the winters in Nettles Island, Florida where she loved playing games and going to lunch with her many friends. She also loved going to craft shows and wineries, reading a good book, and singing in the choir at Immaculate Conception Church.

Sarah will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Jeffrey Davis, who was blessed to share 53 years of marriage; children, Kristin (Scott) Brahler and Michael (Denean) Davis; grandchildren, Joe (Jackie) Brahler, Allyson (Danny) DePalma, Kourtney Brahler, Abigail Davis, and Nathan Davis; siblings, Carol Martin, Jim Vincent, Susan (John) Albanese, and David (Cynthia) Vincent; sisters-in-law, Doreen Kelleher and Karen Kline; special friends, Cathy Rudlosky and Kathy Basile, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harry Vincent.

Please join the family for a memorial visitation Saturday, September 21, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St, Garrettsville, OH 44231. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m., with Fr. Brian Smith officiating. Sarah will then be taken to Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, where she will be lovingly inurned. Care for Sarah was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. 

Donations would be graciously accepted by Lifebanc, https://www.lifebanc.org/, 4775 Richmond Rd, Cleveland, OH 44128, in her name. Saving and improving lives through organ donation was important to Sarah and her family. The family would like to especially thank and recognize the staff of the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit at UH Portage Medical Center. They are immensely grateful for their kindness, skill, and loving care during the time they were there.
