Embark on Outdoor Adventures with Scout Days: A Fun-filled Learning Experience

Scouting is not just about learning knots and tying badges; it’s about exploring the great outdoors, understanding nature, and honing valuable life skills. To encourage this spirit of adventure and learning, we are excited to announce a series of Scout Days, tailored to different age groups and interests. These events promise an engaging blend of education, exploration, and, of course, fun!

Webelos Walkabout Adventure

The Webelos Walkabout Adventure is a fantastic opportunity for young scouts to delve into the heart of nature. From 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on April 27th, scouts will have the chance to complete requirements 1-5 of the Walkabout Core Adventure. This includes a thrilling three-mile hike, offering a perfect blend of physical activity and environmental education. Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with nature and earn your stripes as a seasoned scout!

Daisy Trail Adventure Badge

For our younger scouts, aged Daisy, comes an adventure tailored just for them. Join us from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM on April 27th at the Big Creek Park, Meyer Center, for the Daisy Trail Adventure Badge. Scouts will work on earning their Trail Adventure Badge while learning essential skills for planning and preparing for a nature hike. An outdoor hike is included, promising an enriching experience amidst the beauty of the natural world.

Brownie Eco Friend Badge

On May 11th, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, Brownies are invited to join us at The West Woods, Nature Center, for an enriching experience aimed at earning their Eco Friend badge. Through engaging activities, scouts will learn about outdoor spaces and the importance of treating them with kindness and respect. This event promises to be both educational and enjoyable, with an outdoor hike included to explore and appreciate nature’s wonders.

My Tiger Jungle

For our youngest adventurers, Tigers, comes an exciting exploration of the natural world. Join us on May 11th from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at The West Woods, Nature Center, for My Tiger Jungle event. This immersive experience will take scouts indoors and outdoors, providing them with a chance to discover nature in their own “jungle” setting. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young minds to learn, explore, and grow amidst the beauty of the wilderness.

Archery for Scouts (Ages 12-16 w/adult)

For older scouts, aged 12-16, comes an exciting opportunity to learn the art of archery. On June 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, head over to Chickagami Park, Archery Range, for an immersive session in target archery. This event is open to scouts who are at least 50” tall and promises to be an exciting introduction to this ancient skill. Arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you’re ready to hit the bullseye!

It’s important to note that registration for these events should be completed for scouts only, although adult leaders are required to attend. Additionally, all participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather according to the program descriptions. So, gear up, step into nature’s embrace, and embark on unforgettable adventures with Scout Days!
