At the chilly January 22, 2024 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary, members braved the cold to address various important topics. Here’s a brief overview:

Bowling Event on March 2: The group discussed preparations for a local bowling event scheduled for March 2. The promotion on Facebook is set to kick off at 7:00 p.m.

District 630 Bowling Event for Exchange Students: Another item on the agenda was the setup for a bowling event in District 630 specifically catering to exchange students.

RoadApple Roubaix Welcoming Plans: Members discussed the arrangements for welcoming the RoadApple Roubaix to town on March 2. This includes a bike wash and other preparations.

Dues Reminder: Dues are, well, due; members can expect to receive notifications about their dues soon.

Text Notifications for Cancellations: A new initiative involves setting up text notifications for cancellations, ensuring efficient communication within the group.

Visitor Welcomes and Introductions: The meeting featured a warm welcome and introductions for visitors. Vitislav Sadek from the Czech Republic, currently exploring sports venues and Rotary-sponsored trips, shared his experiences. Sarrah Masters, Garfield’s current exchange student from India, shared her adventures, including participation in the school musical, a trip to Cleveland, and preparations for a trip to Florida with the Marching Pride.
