Home Obituaries Paul E. Dickey of Warren

Paul E. Dickey of Warren

1854

Paul E. Dickey, 52 of Warren, Ohio passed away suddenly in his home on September 26, 2023. Paul was born January 6, 1971 in Ravenna, Ohio. Paul was a hard working family man.

He worked as a foreman for Asplundh Tree Services for 18+ years until 2007, when he was injured on the job. A few years later Paul went into business with his sister where he built a strong relationship with the Amish community, providing transportation.

Paul absolutely loved hunting & fishing with his cousins Scotty & Jason, with whom he was extremely close. He was a family man who in his spare time enjoyed cooking on the grill, having bonfires, & ultimately surrounding himself with the love of his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Glen W. Dickey, of Warren. Paul is survived by his beloved mother, Elizabeth Dickey-Yartz, step-father, Bill Yartz, both of Warren, his sister, Tina Ginnis, brother-in-law, George Ginnis, nieces & nephew, Taylor, Trisha, & Phil Ginnis, all of Warren. His dedicated ex-wife, Keri Dickey of Windham, his children Gabrielle, Blaike, Tessa, & Cameron Dickey, also of Warren. His beautiful grandbabies, Lailana Taylor, Graysen Meeks, & Blaize Danko, whom he worshiped the ground they walk on. Paul gained many “unofficial” kids along the way; those include his grandchildren’s fathers, Darrick Taylor & Joey Danko. Even his children’s friends were all treated & loved as his own. Paul’s long time loving girlfriend, Karen Chamberlain, her children Dustin Hughes, Megan Chamberlain & daughters, Zalia, & Twyla. Paul had many friends in which he could call on for anything. Rebel Brett being the best of those friends for the last 40+ years; truly more like the brother Paul never had.

Family was the most important thing to Paul. He was loved and adored deeply by everyone who knew him. He was someone whose first impression made an impact large enough to last a lifetime.

Visitation was held on October 2, 2023 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service followed at the funeral home, with Rev. James T. “Tom” Holbrook officiating. Paul was then taken to Windham Township Cemetery, where he was lovingly laid to rest next to his father.

The family kindly requests that donations be made in Paul’s name to Carlson Funeral Home. For online condolences go to www.carlsonfuneralhomes.com.
