Garrettsville – The Silver Creek Garden Club of Garrettsville, recently met at the home of Colleen Steele.  Kathy Hanratty, the president of the Native Plant Society of Northeastern Ohio and landscape designer with Enviroscapes Design spoke on protecting and using native plants in the home landscape. Their next meeting set for 10:00 a.m May 22 will be hosted by Barb Bejger. Silver Creek Garden Club has its annual plant sale set for May 18 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. at 8002 Wolff  Dr. Garrettsville. Note that this is a change in location from previous years. The popular sale includes perennials and annuals raised by garden club members. Knowledgeable club members will be available to assist you in choosing the proper plants for your gardening needs. Profits from the sale enable the club to continue donating towards the village hanging baskets and maintaining the library memorial garden. For more information call 330-858-0458.
