Garrettsville Summerfest Raffle is a Ford Truck

1030

Last year, Garrettsville SummerFest raffled off a truck for the first time and it was one of the most successful raffles they have ever had, so with the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” motto the committee decided to offer a 2013 Ford F-150 truck this year as well. Only this year, it is a red truck rather than a black one. Once again, one can choose between the truck and $20,000 in cash. The vehicle is being provided by Garrettsville’s own Kepich Ford. Tickets for the truck are on sale now at area businesses. They are $20 each or six for $100. All proceeds support SummerFest. This year they will also offer two additional prizes and iPad lll for second place, and a gas grill for third.

Garrettsville Summerfest 2013: We Are Family The raffle is the biggest fundraiser for the event but it is not the only one. They already have held a scotch doubles bowling fundraiser; they also have had a casino trip and have another scheduled for May 3, 2013. The proceeds from all these events help pay for Portage County’s biggest festival, Garrettsville SummerFest.

Once again, they will have commemorative T-shirts for sale with this year’s theme “We are Family.”  The shirts will be available at Middlefield Bank, Garrettsville only, the Sky Lanes Bowling Alley, Miller’s Restaurant and the Weekly Villager. The shirts will come in two colors — red and California blue  — and will be $12 each. Sizes available are small, medium, large and extra large. Extended sizes are available as well and will be $3 more. They will have children’s sizes. There is a limited supply of shirts, when they are gone, they are gone. Do not wait until the festival is here to purchase shirts, if you do you might find yourself without one.

This year’s SummerFest primary sponsors are Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce, Kepich Ford/ Main Street Grille and Brewing Company, University Hospital Geauga Medical Center and the Weekly Villager. SummerFest is traditionally held the fourth full weekend in June at the intersections of State Route 82 and State Route 88 in downtown Garrettsville www.garrettsvillesummerfest.com
