“I was honored to have Reverend Kris give the opening prayer at House session,” Rep. Clyde said. “It’s always a pleasure to have community members visit the Statehouse, and it’s even more special when they can take part in the legislative process.”

It is a long-standing tradition in the Ohio House of Representatives to bring in church leaders from members’ home districts for the opening invocation. Religious leaders from a wide-range of denominations are asked to give brief prayers to initiate every House session. Reverend Kris stayed for the House session with guest Pat Singelyn and took a tour of the Statehouse following the House session.
