Rena G. Andrews, of Windham Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. She was born March 12, 1936, in Gem, W.V., to the late Ernest and Lona (Blake) Conrad.
She went Burnsville Grade School, then to Jr. High at Flatwoods, and 1 year at Sutton, all in W.V., before moving to Garrettsville, where she graduated. She met the love of her life, Howard, when they were schoolmates, and were blessed to share over 67 years of wedded bliss. She worked for over 10 years as a bookkeeper for Mallory Furniture in Garrettsville, Miller’s Shoe Store in Garrettsville, and at Duracote in Ravenna. Rena never passed a chance to go berry-picking, fishing, and camping with her family. She enjoyed to spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Rena appreciated her blessed life, and passed on her good fortune by helping those in need whenever it was possible.
Rena will be deeply missed by her dear husband, Howard Andrews; son, Michael Andrews; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son and daughter-in-law, John and Patty Andrews, and brother, Clarence Blake.
Friends joined the family for a visitation Monday, April 10, 2023, 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service began at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. Rena was then laid to rest at Drakesburg Cemetery, Nichols Rd., Freedom Twp., OH 44288.
