The August 8, 2022 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club covered business in short takes and topics. This included a mention of the still-delayed Rotary insignia for the bike racks, the annual cook-out to be held on the 22nd (and what to do in case of rain), a meeting with the officers of InterAct prior to school opening, no updates on the approaching Reverse Raffle and the current financial status. Also discussed were an invitation to a Rotary picnic in Kent on August 10, a Rotary Club of Aurora disc golf competition to be held at Sunny Lake Park on September 24, and the invitation from Garrettsville Chamber of Commerce to be part of the Peach Social by peeling (peaches, that is, this is a family event). Other local interest items included membership and code of conduct policies, as well as the Buckeye Block purchase.
Interesting, all of it.
Happy Bucks went on the table for long-delayed survey, a successful craft show, a coming sermon, a class reunion and the start of a vacation.
It’s all good.
