Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard Continues To Fill Area Need

1623

The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard is thankful for the monetary support and food donations we have been receiving.  Your support has allowed us to make a tremendous impact in the JAG community.  Working with the Akron Canton Foodbank and local retailers, we have been able to stretch these funds — every $5 donation we receive pays for 20 meals for the families in need within our community.

Over the past six weeks the NGCC has provided families enrolled in the JAG School district with over 22,000 meals — going above and beyond our standard weekly distribution.

During the month of May, we will be continuing with our minimal contact, drive-up distribution at our location at 8233 Park Avenue.  Distribution dates will be Monday, May 4 from 3 – 5:30 pm; Wednesday, May 13 from 9 am – noon; Monday, May 18 from 3 – 5:30pm and Wednesday, May 27 from 9 am to noon.

Donations of food and supplies can be made during the distribution hours — monetary donations can be sent to NGCC, PO Box 294, Garrettsville, OH 44231.
