Bluebird landlord program just in time for spring

1805

Bluebirds are selecting their nest boxes right now, but do you know where to best place your box? Which direction the hole should face? How to deter predators? What other species might move in?

Naturalist Tami Gingrich has headed up the bluebird box program at Geauga Park District for 30 years and is prepared to answer all your questions to help you ensure happy, healthy bluebirds on your property. Her Become a Better Bluebird Landlord presentation on Saturday, March 14, 10 to 11 a.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, will also cover the natural history of bluebirds and include important tips on how to monitor your box for increased success – a great way to kick off spring!

Registration is not required to attend. The West Woods Nature Center, located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township, is fully wheelchair/stroller accessible.
