Mantua – The Mantua Township Historic Cemeteries Restoration Project will host a guest speaker on Tuesday, March 19 at the Mantua Township Town Hall.
Mark Morton, of Gravestone Guardians of Ohio, will be evaluating the two Historic Cemeteries in the township for restoration needs and priorities and then present a program to the public at 6pm.
Mark will be one of several cemetery conservators and guest speakers the Project members will host over the next few months as they explore specific projects and priorities, fund-raising, and workshop opportunities.
Consideration for our guest speaker necessitates that this March 19 meeting will begin at 6pm. It is open to the public – historical societies, ladies cemetery associations, township trustees – all who are interested in learning more about this unique topic of historic gravestone restoration.
