Mildred Nina “Millie” Fellenstein, 93, of Warren, OH

Mildred Nina “Millie” Fellenstein, 93, of Warren (formerly of Garrettsville), passed away peacefully on March 5, 2019. She was born on March 23, 1925 in Garrettsville, Ohio to Russel and Maida (Sperry) Harris.

Mildred went to school in Garrettsville, graduated in the class of 1943 and was a graduate of Bohecker’s Business College. One of Millie’s first jobs was working for the telephone office in downtown Garrettsville on Main Street with her mother Maida Ricker.

She was a member of Garrettsville United Methodist Church, Windham Bible Church, Ravenna Assembly of God and Praise Assembly of God. Millie enjoyed swimming, western square dancing, round dancing, interior decorating and fashion.

Millie & Kenny together founded Portage Sanitation where she held the position of vice president and office manager for over 20 years until the sale at their retirement.

Millie is survived by her son, Dennis (Mara) Mathy of Kinsman and grandchildren, Katrina Mathy of Claysburg, PA and Madison Mathy of Kinsman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth H. Stafford, Sr. and Robert G. Fellenstein and sister, Nina Ricker.

Her family would like to say a special thank you to Windsor House of Champion for the impeccable care and a loving environment. Everyone went above and beyond to see to her needs and make her comfortable.

A private service was held per her request and she was buried in Park Cemetery.
