Mantua – On Saturday, December 15th from 3-4 pm, Portage Park District staff will host attendees on a journey about what happens during winter in the parks. They’ll discuss how plants, animals and insects adapt to the season’s cold weather and what tracks can be spotted in the snow. The program begins at the Pop-Up Artists’ Market at 10676 Main Street, but weather permitting, will continue outdoors, so participants are directed to dress for the weather.

On Sunday, December 16th, guests are invited to experience “Harp Through History” featuring Ellen Eckhouse and Paul & Tina Dreisbach. In this program, which takes place from 3 – 4 pm at the Pop-up Market, you’ll learn about the distinctive place of the harp through history and listen to some Irish, Celtic and seasonal holiday tunes from the musicians from our home-grown Hiram band, Top-of-the-Hill. Downtown Mantua Revitalization Corp (DMRC), Ohio Arts Council, and The Portage Foundation fund these workshops. For more information, stop by the Pop-up Market in person or visit the DMRC online or on Facebook.
