Lanora Belle Rader, 78, of Freedom Township, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 19, 2018. She was born on February 24, 1939 to Jesse and Maude (Bartholmew) Carver in Deerfield, Ohio. Lanora married the love of her life, Laco B. Rader, on February 23, 1962.
She graduated second in her class from Southeast High School. Lanora beautifully played the piano and loved to play the accordion. She volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program for many years and played the piano for nursing homes. Lanora loved her family beyond measure. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed learning. Lanora made wonderful wedding cakes. She faithfully attended the Windham Bible Church, where she played the piano and organ. Lanora was proud to be a woman of faith.
Lanora is survived by her children, Edward (Lisa) Lee of Streetsboro, Jeff (Jody Rogers) Rader of Streetsboro and Brian (Teresa) Rader of Freedom Township; grandchildren, Nicole (Bryan) Petel, Robert (Gen) Lee, Danielle (Mike) Standohar, Julianna (Nate) Porter, Amanda (Paul) Kidder, Breanna and Brent Rader, Cody (Tiffany) Rader, Jane and Rachel Rader; great grandchildren, Alexa, Madden, Elle, Owen, Colette, Evan, Kyle, Kameron, Brenna, Adelyn, Jayden, Lachlan, Keegan, Dawson, Fallon, Aaron and Everly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laco; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Services were held on Friday, February 23, 2018, 11 AM at The Windham Bible Church, 9550 Parkman Road, Windham, Ohio 44288 with Pastor Chad Froelich officiating.
