4C’s Participation In Feinstein Challenge

Crestwood 4 C’s is again participating in the Feinstein Challenge. Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger fighting agencies nationwide using it to help them raise funds between March and April. The way it works is this: any money, cash, checks and food items (valued at $1.00 per item or pound) raised between March 1st and April 30th, 2011 will be added to by The Feinstein Foundation. The more donations we receive, the more of the Feinstein $1 million we will receive. The million dollars will be divided proportionately among all agencies complying with the rules of the challenge. We could receive between $250 and $40,000. Last year we received $250. We are hoping to increase our donation this year.  Please help us to feed the hungry. Donate food, cash/checks between March 1 and April 30th. Please designate your donations for the “challenge.” 4 C’s is located in the basement of Hilltop Church in Mantua. Large Screen TV Raffle to Benefit Crestwood Bands

Someone will be winning this great TV just in time for March Madness – and it could easily be you.  The Crestwood Band Patrons will be raffling off a Vizio 47 inch / 1080p, LCD television, with the drawing to be held at the Crestwood Jazz Festival on Friday, March 4th at the Middle School.  Tickets are $5.00 each, five for $20, or 15 for $50 and are available from any member of the Crestwood Bands, with cash or checks payable to the “Crestwood Band Patrons” and marked TV raffle and returned to the school office. Pasta Dinner Benefit

Deuces Wild, Maple Drive in Newton Falls, will hold a pasta dinner benefit for burn victim Joseph Wright on March 5th. Dinner will be served from 2-6pm, $5/person with carryouts available. A Chinese auction will be held from 6-8pm and live entertainment from 9pm-1am. All proceeds will go to help with Joseph’s medical bills.

BioBuddies: Eggs Alive!

BioBuddies is a discovery-based program for preschool age children (3-5 years old) and an adult to experience the wonders of the natural world. Golf Performance Clinic

Ravenna Parks and Recreation Department is offering an adult Golf Performance Enhancement Clinic sponsored by Summa Center for Sports Health on March 22nd from 7-9pm at the RAC in the group exercise room. Amateur Radio Class

The Kayla Irene Daniels Cure for Cancer Foundation will hold a Reverse Raffle on April 2nd at the Parkman Community House, just east of the Parkman Center of Route 422. Admission is $25 and a limit of 200 tickets will be sold. The Grand Prize starts with $1,200 with a bonus. There will also be a free chicken or veal parmesan dinner, a Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle, and we will raffle off a new 2010 ATV Yamaha Grizzly with trailer. Art On The Hill

The DMRC (Downtown Mantua Revitalization Corporation), a 501(c)(3) organization will be hosting their 3nd Annual “Art on the Hill” event on Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 10AM-5PM. Artisan booth spaces are available for $45. We close Prospect Street for the day and line both sides of the street with artisans. Last year we had over 60 artisans with most reporting meeting or exceeding their sales expectation for the day!
