Mantua – The second annual Sweet heART Auction and Cookie walk will be held from noon to 5 pm February 10 at the Mantua Township School building (Old Center School), 11741 Mantua Center Road.
This is a joint effort by The Mantua Restoration Society and the Community Center Management Board to raise funds to continue renovating the school building and turn it into a community center for Northern Portage County and Southern Geauga County.
Contributions of art, plus cookies for the cookie walk, are being actively sought for this community event. As well, whimsies (folk art, sports collectibles, hand-knitted and crocheted articles and anything else that isn’t cookies or official art) are being sought for a silent auction going on throughout the event. This year visitors will also be entertained with Americana music, a little bluegrass, and folk music played between 12:30 and 1:30 by Cal Craig and Skip Schweitzer featuring guitars, banjos and mandolin. Come sing and play along with us.

Cookies can be delivered to the school building between 9-11 on February 10. Whimsies can be delivered on February 3 at the Mantua Civic Center on the Village Green between 10 am and 2 pm
