Garrettsville – The ‘jumbo’ at Slim & Jumbo’s now describes the two new video screens dominating the Main Street sports bar in Garrettsville. Dwarfing the TV monitors that still broadcast the game of the hour, these new screens give the happy hour crowd a larger-than-life viewing experience, seven days a week.

Chris Cavalier of Cavalier Technologies LLC installed the new video system featuring 15-foot screens visible from everywhere in the bar. Especially now that national league baseball play-offs are heating up, football is in full swing and basketball pre-season games have begun, fans are happy about the arrival of the jumbo screens.

Slim & Jumbo’s is the area’s largest sports bar and entertainment venue, offering pool, darts, arm wrestling matches, special events, live bands, karaoke and DJs, as well as a full menu, happy hour and daily drink specials.

Slim’s and Sean’s Pub next door were established in 2003 by Sean and Sondra Varner, soon becoming a favorite Garrettsville late night hot spot and casual dining area. Slim & Jumbo’s is open Mondays through Fridays, 3:00pm to 2:30am; Saturdays, 11:00am to 2:30am; and Sundays,12:00pm to 9:00pm

Special events are on tap every week. Next up, the Riverboat Band will perform a free concert of country, classic rock and southern rock on Friday, October 14 at 9:00 pm. Then it will be time for getting into costume for the annual Halloween Party and costume contest, Saturday, October 29 at 9:00 pm.

Slim & Jumbo’s is located at 8105 Main Street in historic downtown Garrettsville.
