The first time that Damaris Peters Pike did a one-woman-show was in August of 1988. Twenty-five years later, she has done more than 1050 performances in 10 states and France—as 11 different women! To celebrate this silver anniversary, she will be “giving back” by donating a select series of five performances benefitting local organizations. Here is the schedule:
October 3rd**“The Garfields—An Ohio Presidential Couple” with Damaris Peters Pike and JackWarren. 7:00 p.m. at the Hiram Christian Church, to benefit the Hiram, Mantua and James A. Garfield Historical Societies.
October 9th**”Hildegard of Bingen—A Feather on the Breath of God” 7:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, in support of the church’s music program.
October 14th**”Frankie Gershwin—We Let George Do It” 7:00 p.m., Hiram Christian Church, for the benefit of Little Village Early Learning Center.
October 16th**”Irving Berlin—A Daughter Remembers” 7:00p.m. in the Iva Walker Auditorium, James A. Garfield Middle School, to benefit Curtains Up Community Theater.
October 23rd**”Thanks for the Memories: A Visit with Dolores Hope “ AND “Que Sera, Sera—Remembering Doris Day” 7:00p.m., Hiram College Kennedy Center , for the benefit of the 4C’s Food Pantry (This being a “double header”, the tickets for the performance will be $20. All other presentations will be $10)
