Congratulations to #18 (pictured above) decorated by Desiree, Chris, Audrina and Drew. Their creative ideas in decorating the houses really impressed the viewers and we were blown away by the level of detail and spookiness they put into their decorations.

This was their 10th year decorating their home for Halloween. Desiree’s favorite decoration is the 12 foot skeleton because it was her “?rst big guy”. Their house caught a lot of attention, and the neighbors have nothing but compliments. “One time, some random ladies pulled up to the house,” Desiree said. “They had a baby skeleton in their trunk and they jumped out to take pictures. It was great!”

We asked them what they love most about the Halloween season. “Everything,” Desiree told us. “If I had to pick one thing, it would be the Trick or Treating.” She was the Mad Hatter for Halloween this year. They love Halloween so much, they start buying decorations in July and begin decorating the house as early as August! They are very grateful to the people who voted and appreciated their hard work.

Another huge congratulation to the second place winners- #12 decorated by Scott and Diane Erholm. The voters, FedEx delivery guys, and community loved their decorations! They took pride in the ?ow of their display and put a lot of thought and detail into everything.

This was their ?rst year decorating the outside of their home for Halloween. Decorating and talking about their ideas is their favorite part of the season. Their favorite decorations are Teary the Clown and the huge Werewolf that moves and howls. They had fun hunting down their Werewolf and Witch on their way back from Colorado. “It was like a hunt, stopping at all of the Home Depots,” Diane explained. They ?nally found them in Kansas City. “It was crazy trying to ?t them into our truck,” Scott said and they both laughed.

They said they de?nitely thought they had a lot of people stopping by. Scott would wait for people to come check out the display. He would watch by the window to turn on the smoke machine to make their display extra spooky. They are already planning for next year.
