The Windham Exempted Village School District is proud to announce recent generous contributions to the district and the celebration of three valued staff members entering retirement.

At a recent Board of Education meeting, American Legion Post 674 presented a remarkable $15,000 donation to the district. The funds will be used to purchase a GATOR TX utility vehicle with attachments, enhancing the maintenance team’s capabilities across all school facilities. The donation was presented by Debra and Chuck of Post 674 to Board of Education President Melissa Knight. The district extends its sincere gratitude for this meaningful support of our operations.

In addition, the Windham High School Class of 1974 demonstrated their continued commitment to student success with a $1,500 donation. The funds will be used to purchase two laptops for students enrolled in college-level courses during high school. Alumni Lori and Kay proudly presented the check to President Melissa Knight on behalf of the class.

The district also took time to honor three long-time staff members who are retiring: Wendy Bennett, Kathy Lovejoy, and Ron McCleary. Their decades of dedication and service to Windham students and the community were celebrated with heartfelt gratitude.

Superintendent Dobran and Board members alike expressed appreciation for the continued support from the community and the incredible service of the retirees. Windham is fortunate to have such strong bonds between alumni, local organizations, and staff,  building a brighter future for our students.
