William “Bill” Michael Rice, 67, of Windham, went home to his Lord and Savior Thursday, February 15, 2024. He was born October 5, 1956, in Warren, to the late William F. Rice and June (Engle) Rice.
He was a graduate of Windham High School, and eventually obtained a BS in chemistry from Kent State University. Bill was a gun enthusiast who made his own ammo. He enjoyed working on old vehicles and was an avid reader, especially when reading about history. Bill was a caring man who liked to spend time with his family, and was a friend to all who were lucky to meet him.
Bill will be deeply missed by his loving mother, June Rice; sisters, Terri McManus and Jo Ellen Liberatore; nephews and nieces, Melissa (Kevin) Schrader, Fred (Julia) Burkhart, Michele (Patrick Wolfe) Jackson, Eric (Natasha & Max) Liberatore, Brady Jackson, Sydney Schrader, Kaden Schrader, Alec Burkart, Chloe Burkhart, and baby Elias on the way, as well as many other loved family members and wonderful friends, especially Randy and Robin Bauer. He was preceded in death by his father.
The family was joined for a visitation on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Sandra Greenberg officiating. Bill will then be taken to Windham Township Cemetery, where he will be lovingly laid to rest near his father.
