William C. Isler passed away at his home on Saturday, February 10, 2024 with his family by his side. Bill was born, August 27, 1941, in Warren, Ohio the son of Payton and Charlotte Isler. He was a 1959 graduate of Windham High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Hiram College and a Master’s degree from Kent State University.
Bill married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Mizner on March, 24, 1961. He and Ruth Ann made their home in Windham, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann, his sons Bill (Sarah) Isler, and Gregg (Brenda) Isler, and three grandchildren, Jeremy Isler, Caitlyn Isler, and Jessica (Nick) Dejanovic.
Bill firmly believed in the power of people and education. He taught and coached in the Twinsburg City Schools and the Hudson City Schools. He loved the Windham community and spent his lifetime working with others to make it a great place to live. He coached youth activities, built ballfields, renovated football fields in Windham amongst his many projects. In addition, Bill and Ruth Ann founded the Windham Brick by Brick Scholarship Fund which has raised over $300,000 for Windham High School graduates.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date with interment at the Windham Township Cemetery.
