Willard T. Hartman, 84, of Windham, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on March 28, 2024. He was born in Alpine, West Virginia on November 25, 1939. On October 29, 1961, he married Violet J. Shumaker. Willard was a welder and self- employed truck driver. He is survived by his loving girlfriend and caregiver of 6 years, Maree Madgett; his son, Tom (Liann) Hartman and his daughter, Lori (David) Friess of Garrettsville; along with four grandchildren, Brett Baumgarter, Meghan Hartman, Mason Friess and Gavin Friess; his four great-grandchildren and his brother, Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Violet of 59 years; and nine siblings. Willard was an active member of Shepherd’s Joy Ministries, where he served on the the finance committee. Special thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve and Maree’s four sons for their compassion and support. Services will be held at Shepherd’s Joy Ministries, 9736 E. Center Street, Windham Ohio on April 27, 2024. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a service at 4:00 p.m. There will be a dinner held following the service.
