The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard (NGCC) invites you to trade your magnifying glass for a fork and your detective hat for a Bavarian cap at its annual murder mystery fundraiser, happening Saturday, October 4, from 5–9 p.m. at Sugarbush Golf Club.
This year’s production, presented by Garrettsville’s own Curtains Up Theatre, is titled “Murder at the Slurp & Burp Oktoberfest”—and it promises plenty of twists, turns, and laughs. Guests will find themselves right in the middle of the action as they work alongside the cast to solve the case. Can you uncover the culprit before dessert is served?
Keeping with the Oktoberfest theme, dinner will be just as tempting as the mystery: Sophie’s Pierogies from Cleveland, bratwurst, chicken, potato salad, and more German favorites. Come hungry—you’ll need your strength for sleuthing!
Tickets are just $35 per person or $60 per couple, which includes both the show and the feast. All proceeds benefit NGCC, helping stock shelves and provide comfort to local families during the holiday season and cold winter months.
Tickets are available online at ngccportage.org, at The Villager on Main Street, or at the Garrettsville YMCA.
So grab your lederhosen, sharpen your detective skills, and join us for a night of mystery, mischief, and mouthwatering food—all for a great cause!
