Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Mondays

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Lunches are served T-TH from 11a-1p only $5-plate includes homemade soup or salad, entrée, dessert and beverage. Menu for the week is posted on Facebook, or just call 330-889-2733.

Young At Heart Meetings

3rd Tues of Month

Young at Heart  organization for 55 and older, meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall.  We gather for meals, meeting and fellowship.  All denominations are welcome.  To attend or for more information call Jackie 330-569-4048.

BINGO! At St. Ambrose

First & Third Tuesday

Al Anon Meetings

What can you do when someone close to you drinks too much? Al Anon may be able to help. We meet Tuesdays 7:30 -8:30 pm at the Renaissance Center 9005 Wilverne in Windham or Wednesday 7-8 pm at Hilltop Christian Church, 4572 Prospect in Mantua. Meetings are completely confidential.

Loaves and Fishes Community Meal  

Last Thursday of Month

A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township. We hope to see you there for good food and conversation.

Mantua Variety Market

Christ Lutheran Church is sponsoring the Mantua Variety Market on Saturdays from 9am – 1pm at 10827 N Main St., Mantua. Season runs from May 17 – August 23 (closed July 5). A wide selection of items can be sold – bakery, produce, crafts, plants, syrup, eggs, honey, garage sale items, etc. Vendors are needed. Fee is $1 per date. MaRSI’s 2nd Friday Dinner

The Mantua Restoration Society (MaRSI) is holding their 2nd Friday Dinner, from 4 -7pm, on July 11, 2025. This month’s dinner features entrees, hot soup, cool salads, and scrumptious desserts. The Mantua Restoration Society is not permitted to charge a set amount and cannot mention what similar food might cost in a restaurant. Donations are graciously accepted. Dining in or carryout is available. The dinner is being held at the Mantua Center School Annex located at 11741 Mantua Center Road, Mantua Township. Come join us!

Annual Middlefield Community Trunk, Yard & Craft Sale

This year’s sale is one day only and will take place at Harrington Square (15561 W. High St, Middlefield) Over 50 vendors have registered to set up their goods on this day, with an additional 20 off-site area homes and businesses also participating. Skip The Waiting Room

Local author Jared Sheehan discusses the telehealth revolution, sharing his coauthored book, “Skip the Waiting Room” at the Garrettsville Library on Saturday, July 12 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The presentation will include how telehealth helps alleviate the opioid crisis. This is an author presentation intended for adults. VBS at First Baptist Church

Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church, 2640 S. Canal Street, Newton Falls will be held July 13-18 nightly from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.

Classic Car Show

10th annual classic car show held by the Hungarian Cultural Center of Northeastern Ohio 12027 Abbott Rd, Hiram. July 20th 2pm until 5pm (unless we run out of food before) Music by Aaron Dussing band. Special guest sponsor: Sarchione Chevrolet of Garrettsville. Admission at the gate is $6.00 per person, children under 12 free. Driver of classic car free. Hiram School Reunion

“Magnified” Vacation Bible School

A basket raffle will be held on Aug 2 at the Claridon Town Hall from 12-4  with the drawing at 4:30. This event is being ran by Girl Scouts to support their troop activities. 

24th Annual Brittany Myers Poker Run

Saturday, August 2nd  will be the 24th Annual Brittany Myers Memorial Poker Run. Registration begins at 10 AM at Time Out Sports Bar in Freedom. All proceeds to benefit the Brittany Myers Scholarship. Two and Four wheels as well as cash donations welcome!
