The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township. A wide selection of items can be sold – bakery, produce, crafts, plants, syrup, eggs, honey, garage sale items, etc. Vendors are needed. Fee is $1 per date. Free Beginner Quilt Classes
Starting June 24
Do you admire all those beautiful quilts you see? Would you like to learn to quilt yourself? The Village Piecemaker’s quilt club of Garrettsville is offering free beginner quilt classes to those who would like to learn the basics of quilting. Each class will offer a different area in the quilting process. This will be a four-week class.
