Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Mondays

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Lunches are served T-TH from 11a-1p only $5-plate includes homemade soup or salad, entrée, dessert and beverage. Menu for the week is posted on Facebook, or just call 330-889-2733.

Wing Night at the Eagles Club

Every Tuesday $1 wings with purchase of a beverage.Open to the public 5:00- 8:00. The Eagles Club is located at 8149 Water Street, Garrettsville. Public Welcome!

Hilltop Crafters

1st & 3rd Mondays

Free Meal

First Tuesday

Free meal 1st Tuesday of the month. All are welcome to join us at Covenant Bible Fellowship at 8146 High Street, Garrettsville, from 5:30-7pm. Food, fun and fellowship.

Young At Heart Meetings

3rd Tues of Month

Young at Heart  organization for 55 and older, meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall.  We gather for meals, meeting and fellowship.  All denominations are welcome.  To attend or for more information call Jackie 330-569-4048.

BINGO! At St. Ambrose

First & Third Tuesday

Come to St. Ambrose for Bingo, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 5:45pm and Early Bird starts at 6:45. Players must be 18 or over. Reasonably priced concessions. St. Ambrose is located at 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville. Check out our Facebook page for additional information.

Al Anon Meetings

Tuesdays & Wednesdays

What can you do when someone close to you drinks too much? Al Anon may be able to help. We meet Tuesdays 7:30 -8:30 pm at the Renaissance Center 9005 Wilverne in Windham or Wednesday 7-8 pm at Hilltop Christian Church, 4572 Prospect in Mantua. Meetings are completely confidential.

Crestwood Community Center

Wednesdays

Every Wednesday from 10:30-4:00 starting September 4, 2024. Drop by and visit!  Weekly activities include guided nature walks, card games, bingo, Dominoes, puzzles, and book swaps.  Meet us at Mantua Lodge, Buchert Park, 4810 E. Time For Tots

2nd & 4th Wednesdays

Children ages 2-5 (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome) are invited to Time for Tots on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Our goal is to provide a safe indoor environment for young children to play, craft, enjoy music & burn energy.  Time for Tots will run from 9/11/24 – 5/28/25. We will not meet if Ravenna Schools are closed. No need to sign up for this free event, just stop in and enjoy the fun. Call 330-297-6424 with questions. Loaves and Fishes Community Meal  

Last Thursday of Month

A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township. We hope to see you there for good food and conversation.

American Legion Fish Fry

Christmas Candlelight Service

The Annual First Congregational Church of Freedom Christmas Candlelight Service will be Friday, Dec. 20th at 6:30. The First Congregational Church of Freedom is at 8961 St. Rt. 88 in Freedom  (Windham mailing address.) Debbie Sommers our organist will play the hymns. Renee Ruley plays the piano.  Pastor Jody Hill will give the message. The church has a ramp for wheelchair access to the church.

Blue Christmas Service

Windham UMC will be having a Blue Christmas service on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM.   The service is open to any resident of any community who is experiencing feelings of sadness or depression during the holiday season.  Windham UMC is located at 9051 N. Main Street, Windham, Ohio 44288.

Swiss Steak Dinner

First Congregational Church UCC in Rootstown is having our monthly fund-raiser dinner on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm.  We will begin serving sit down dinners again, as well as carry-out and drive thru.  Dinners are $15.00 and this month includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, cole slaw, applesauce, green beans, corn, roll and dessert.  The church is located at 4022 St Rt 44 in Rootstown Center.

Snowman Scavenger Hunt

Candlelight Christmas Eve Service

A Candlelight Christmas Eve Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 2640 South Canal Street, Newton Falls.  The 45-minute service will begin at 5:00 PM and will include traditional Christmas carols, scripture, a message entitled “The Perfect Gift” and a congregational candle lighting.  All are welcome.

God Provides A Meal

Windham UMC will be having its monthly free meal on December 27.  Menu is ham, scalloped potatoes, corn and sugar cookies.
