Free Water Well Monitoring
Aug 26

For accurate readings, your sample should be taken as directly from the well as possible— before any treatment and within an hour before we test it. For a sample “fresh from the well,” drain the water sitting in your pipes by running any household cold water for about 10 minutes before you collect your sample (from the well head or from a faucet on your pump). Use a clean, wide-mouthed, covered glass container that holds about 8 oz. Come at 7:00 and we’ll be running videos with experts explaining the hydrofracture (“fracking”) shale drilling and why it produces so much toxic waste. You can stay as long as you find the videos interesting, while you’re waiting for you water to be tested. For more information contact Gwen Fischer at 330-569-7863 or concernedcitizensohio@gmail.com. The Shalersville branch of Concerned Citizens Ohio continues to offer free water monitoring in their Streetsboro location (Eagles Hall, 9052 State Route 14, Streetsboro) at 4:00 on the first Sunday of every month.
