On September 21, 2025, Wayne Edward Hall departed this life peacefully and entered the Gates of Heaven, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and strength.

Wayne was born on March 20, 1936, in Revere, PA, the son of the late Earl Hall and Thelma (Riggar) Hall. He grew up in the Uniontown, PA, area, where he developed a strong work ethic, a deep love of family, and a love for all things “Pittsburgh”. Wayne graduated from South Union High School in 1954 and went on to work for the A&P Tea Company in Cleveland, OH, to which he dedicated 23 years of service. After the closing of A&P, Wayne retired in 1988 from Seaway Foods Co.

Wayne had a deep passion for sports, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates being his two favorite teams. He was a dedicated and knowledgeable sports fan, always ready to share his enthusiasm and insights with those around him. Throughout the years, Wayne faithfully attended his grandchildren’s sporting events. Sharing in these moments brought him much joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Phyllis Hall; daughters, Melinda (John) Andel, of Garrettsville, OH and Melony (Gary) Rebic, of Brunswick, OH; grandchildren, Brad (Veronica) Rebic, Laurie Andel, Daniel (Holly) Andel, and Lindsay (Michael) Owens; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Sheldon Hall, as well as several nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Len (Delores) Hall; sister-in-law, Norma Hall

Visitation was held on  Thursday, September 25, 2025, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A second  visitation was held  at the funeral home Friday, September 26, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A funeral service followed  at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Per Wayne’s wishes, he will then be cremated and inurned at a later date in Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, OH. For online condolences go to www.carlsonfuneralhomes.com.
