Garrettsville – It’s that time again. James A.Garfield High School’s Academic Challenge team, the Quiz Masters, will once again be sponsoring their fund-raising event, Machine-O-Mania/ Touch-A-Truck, at the Garfield parking area on Saturday, May 11 from 11:00 to 3:00.
It’s a chance for kids of all ages to see the big machines that drive by every day “up close and personal”. There have been fire trucks and bucket trucks, ambulances and the county Emergency response command post vehicle, the local favorite “Time Bandit” racing team (Whew! Loud!), antique cars, spiffy motorcycles, brand-new school buses( and well-maintained experienced ones)–just about anything with wheels. Materials-transport trucks, wreckers, tankers–you name it! There was even a racing team support vehicle that had everything from multiple TV screens to spare tires.
Admission is only $3.00 and that includes a chance to sound the siren, blow the horn, ring the bell…whatever.
Could be any number of interesting machines there to get a look at. Bring the kids. Bring the grandkids. Heck, just bring yourself, if it sounds like fun.
It IS fun : Machine-O-Mania / Touch-A-Truck !
